I have to admit, in my early vegan days… I never really ate sandwiches, except for plant based burgers. And admittedly, the main ingredients in most of the vegan burgers I ate then were imitation meats… impossible meats, beyond meats, etc. But that was a rookie move. Not hating on the imitation meats, because I do still indulge… but you want to limit your consumption of processed foods. Luckily, I did soon discover, much to my delight, that are so many delicious variations of plant based sandwiches to choose from.
So for National Sandwich Month, I wanted to share a few I found from some talented chefs on the web… and I think you are going to love. *A quick note before making vegan sandwiches at home, if you are buying, instead of making your bread (which is what I do all the time, so no judgement from me), be sure to check the label and make sure the bread does not contain any dairy, eggs etc. You will find plenty of options.
