Erika Hazel is out to make the world a better place and she’s determined to have fun doing it. She created the brand Bizerkeley Vegan about 5 years ago when she embarked on her personal vegan journey. The name captures some other experiences while living in Berkeley, California, where she works by day as school counselor/therapist On the side, she wanted to share her fun adventures discovering delicious vegan eats in her area through Bizerkeley Vegan. Over the years those efforts led to her becoming a key go to resource for the area’s best Vegan eats, emerging as a leader in the Vegan space and advocating for Black Vegan entrepreneurs.
On this episode of The Vegan Sexy Cool Podcast, Erika talks about hosting her first food festival, taking Vegan companies to task for not supporting Black Lives Matter, and how the death of George Floyd changed her messaging.
