I don’t have a lot of time for breakfast during the work week, but I do like to get something on my stomach to start my day. And I like to keep it as healthy as possible, because when you start off the day healthy you are more likely to keep it up the rest of the day. Here are 5 of my on the go vegan breakfast favorites. It’s nothing fancy but hopefully it will give you some ideas for your morning.
Peanut Butter/Banana English Muffin
Ingredients:
- English Muffin
- Peanut Butter (protein)
- Spirulina (protein)
- 1/2 Banana, sliced
- Blueberries
Directions:
Toast Muffin. Spread on peanut butter. Sprinkle spirulina. Add banana slices and blueberries. Enjoy.
Vegan Yogurt
- Grab you favorite plant based yogurt. (I swear by Lavva yogurt, made with pili beans)
- add 1 tbs agave
- add 1 tsp spirulina (protein)
- add granola
- add strawberries or blueberries
Smoothie
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 1/2cup kale
- 1/3 cup pineapple
- 1 apple
- 1/2 cup blueberry
- 1 tsp spirulina (protein)
- 1 scoop vegan protein power
- 6 pieces of ice
Oatmeal, fruit, nuts,
- steel cut oat meal
- maple syrup
- pecans or walnuts (protein)
- blueberries
Cereal/milk/fruit
- high fiber, low sugar cereal
- nut milk (protein)
- blueberries, strawberries

What kind of spirulina (protein) do you suggest and where can I find it?
Hello Felicia… I get my Spirulina at Whole Foods, either in crunchy sprinkles or powder. The brand I buy is actually made by Whole Foods, but they have other options.
