Knowledge Is Power… LINKS FOR LEARNING

Let’s make a deal, you keep an open mind about veganism and I won’t bombard you with heartbreaking videos and photos of all of the violence and cruelty that happens to innocent animals daily.

Listen, I get it. It’s easier to ignore the truth and enjoy those new leather boots or that thick steak. I did it for years. It was so much easier to do what everyone else was doing. After all it is not easy being the only vegan at a family reunion or at dinner/brunch with the girls. And speaking of the girls, it can be tough being the only girl on that trip to the outlets who is only looking for well made faux leather shoes and bags.

But once I did the research and saw what was happening for myself, I had no choice but to be a part of protecting these animals with my choices as a consumer. Even if it meant being seen as the odd one.

So about that deal… I am an animal activist and I do think everyone should be aware of the truth behind things like factory farming, the leather trade, and the wool industry. That is why I am going to post links on those types of topics from time to time. Some of the links may contain graphic photos or videos, but that content will be hidden within the link. That link will be well labeled with a warning and you will have to click to see more than the headline.

It won’t be all violence against animals… there will also be some informative posts about interesting people and news in the vegan space. They say education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a flare. Let’s begin with these:
